Pilates Mat Classes

 

Pilates mat classes are performed on the floor on an exercise mat. The mat work repertoire incorporates the same fundamental movement principles as the studio work however it works with and against the weight of the body rather than using springs. Small props such as therabands, magic circles and foam rollers may also be used.

Mat classes are suitable for all ages and fitness levels however participants must be able to climb stairs to the mat room and be able to get down to and up from the floor comfortably. A maximum of 6 participants per class allowing for high teacher attention. Please note a minimum of 2 people are required to run Open classes. 

​

*All new clients are required to attend an Introductory Mat Pilates Session, unless they are an existing client or have suitable previous experience in Pilates (please contact the studio for more information or to check eligibility).

  • Introductory mat Pilates sessions run for 35-minutes

  • Open mat classes run for 55-minutes

  • Bookings are essential and can be made online here or directly through the studio

  • Participants are required to bring a fresh pair of socks, or a clean pair may be purchased or borrowed from the studio

  • Costs range from $20 - $40 per class, see 'Times & Prices' for full fee schedule

  • Standard Pilates Way T&C's apply including 24-hour cancellation policy
